BRIEF DESCRIPTION
Hotel Experience Design - Designing Hotel Common Spaces
Today the common spaces in hotels – the Lounge, the Bar and the Lobby – but not only
them, are undergoing a radical change: in fact more and more often they host new
functions with respect to the traditional ones, becoming versatile spaces open to city
life. This new conception of the common areas has determined a total rethinking of the
entire organisation of the hotel, spaces' features and furniture.
This evolution leads to a new way to plan the spaces of sociality inside traditional hotels,
that is hotel entertainment, and consequently designers and architects must acquire
new and wide specialised competences and comprehend the new aesthetic languages
of this great expanding market. |
