Master Degree Course in Car
Design, Mobility and Automotive
This Master arises from the
awareness that today the design world needs more complex design solutions,
able to integrate different disciplines and particular research
perspectives, in order to properly answer to the current vision of the
global and delocalized production world.
Designing, producing, promoting and marketing a product or a service in the
post-industrial society of information, requires designers with very
specific skills, able to dialogue with different players and to handle the
market following non-conventional rules.
The Course:
The scenario is changing: the
problems related to mobility traffic, pollution, safety- can't be
considered separate to the world of Design. The vision of a car as an
object of desire, representing a lifestyle, a concentration of performance
and beauty, is naive, and the concept of transportation has remarkably
evolved over the last years. Many means of transportation (collective
vehicles, motorbikes, entertainment vehicles, sailing...) have reached a
mature phase as far as design is concerned and offer interesting
development margins.
This Master course in Car
Design and Mobility, is part of the design logic of an increasingly
functional relation between mobility and territory, facing the complex
development of the vehicle according to principles completely different
from the past and expressing new needs: the new means of transportation are
built respecting ergonomics, safety, without forgetting the environmental
impact, but also aesthetics.
